Every year I see so many art students graduate from art school full of anticipation, drive and enthusiasm for their work, but sadly so many of them either give up completely or have to resort to making art as a part-time hobby. It’s heart breaking to see. My experience of art schools has been mixed over the years, some are trying to give their under graduates the skills for being an artist, but most don’t have the tools to support their students as they leave art school and enter the reality of life as an artist today. newplatform.art not only gives the artists this vital support, but it also introduces them to life as a professional artist, showing their work in a corporate environment, rewarding them financially and supporting them over that first crucial year after graduation. It has been life-changing for so many of the artists that have been selected.
newplatform.art does something else as well as supporting artists, it supports corporates, large and small, through the whole process of having changing artworks on their walls and developing a unique CSR programme. I am very excited by the possibilities for newplatform.art and so pleased to be involved.
